The Azerbaijani side started anti-terrorism measures in Karabakh as of September 19. These measures serve only the purpose of disarming and removing units of the Armenian armed forces from our territory, neutralizing their military infrastructure, ensuring the security of the civilian population, and restoring the constitutional structure of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Units of the Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan must lay down their weapons and surrender. In this case, anti-terrorism measures will be stopped.

In the current situation, the biggest provocation is being made by Armenia, that is, Armenia’s armed forces are still in Azerbaijani territory, in Karabakh.

They were required to leave Karabakh in accordance with international law and the ceasefire declaration of November 10, 2020.

The targets of the measures taken are only illegal military formations and military infrastructures. Civilians are not Azerbaijan’s target under any circumstances.

The Republic of Azerbaijan invited representatives of Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region to a meeting in Yevlakh to discuss integration issues.

This shows that Azerbaijan intends to bring peace and tranquility to the region.
