As the representative of the State with the most important military on the planet, she is aware of her role as Ambassador of the United States.

Ambassador Kim has delivered strong messages, emphasizing the importance of military relations between the two countries.

In May 2021, with the special participation of the three highest generals of the NATO Alliance, but also of many high authorities, the largest military exercise in the Western Balkans region, “Defender Europe 2021”, started from Durrës.

The USA has continuously donated military aid to the Armed Forces of Albania, to make the Albanian army even stronger, Albania even safer, within the framework of NATO.

MEETINGS WITH DEFENSE MINISTERS

Ambassador Kim held regular meetings with the Ministers of Defense, Olta Xhacka and Niko Peleshi, or accompanied the senior American military, who came for a working visit to Albania.

When she arrived in Albania, she held her first meeting with the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bajram Begaj (today the President of the Republic)…

… and she is closing her diplomatic mission with another Chief, Arben Kingjin.

The President of the Republic is at the same time the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, but also the head of the National Security Council.

The United States has historically been Albania’s biggest protector. And the USA is very beloved in Albania.

Major General David H. Tabor, Commander of the Special Operations Command in Europe, conveyed the decision to establish in Albania a headquarters of the US Special Operations Forces.

Yuri Kim is an ardent fan of Skanderbeg, the National Hero of the Albanians.
