The Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Lindita Nikolla, today congratulated the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Eliane Tillieux, on the occasion of assuming the Belgian Presidency of the EU, with confidence in the successful realization of the priorities of this Presidency.

“These priorities are guidelines for a stronger, more united and democratic, competitive and stable Europe, with more welfare and social justice, dedicated to its citizens and open to the world”, writes Nikola in the congratulatory message .

Nikola also expresses his satisfaction that enlargement will continue to be a priority of the Belgian Presidency because, as it is underlined in its priorities, enlargement makes us all stronger.

“The Assembly of Albania will continue to contribute to the acceleration of the pace of Europeanization of our country, guaranteeing the democratic legitimacy, transparency and comprehensive character of this process, to fulfill the aspirations of the Albanians, as the most pro-European people in the region”, said Nikolla .
