The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, received this Friday at the farewell meeting, the Ambassador of the European Union in Albania, Christiane Hohmann. 

During the meeting, President Begaj appreciated the role of Ambassador Hohmann in the important task of representing the EU delegation in Tirana. 

The Head of State pointed out that Hohmann came to head the delegation just a few days after Albania opened negotiations for membership with the European Union a year ago. 

For the Head of State, EU membership is the biggest strategic objective of Albania and Albanians. 

At the end of the meeting, President Begaj wished success to Mrs. Hohmann in her career.
