US Ambassador, Yuri Kim, presented a special award to the head of anti-terror in the Albanian police, Gledis Nano.

The ceremony was organized on Tuesday, while for his cooperation and commitment in support of the joint efforts of the US Embassy with the State Police to fight terrorism, Gledis Nano received an award from the ambassador.

“Ambassador Yuri Kim presented a Commendation Award to Gledis Nano, Director of Counter Terrorism at the Albanian State Police on August 17. The award recognized Mr. Nano for his partnership and dedication in support of the U.S. Embassy’s joint efforts with the Albanian State Police to combat global terrorism.

Ambassador Kim also acknowledged his cooperation and collaboration on all Embassy law enforcement and counterterrorism issues,” the US Embassy wrote.

Gledis Nano has led operations to repatriate Albanian women and children remaining in ISIS camps in Syria.
