The American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, has reacted to the situation of fires in the country, as he announces that American experts in the fight against fires have arrived to support the Albanian Armed Forces.

Kim writes that, the American Embassy is saddened by the devastation caused by the fires in the south. The equipment donated by the US meanwhile are helicopter buckets, fire suits and other equipment to protect lives and homes from fires.

“Like everyone else in Albania, the US Embassy is saddened by the destruction cause by the fires in the south. In response, US firefighting experts arrived this weekend to support the efforts of the Albanian Armed Forces. In addition to this assistance from USAID Saves Lives.

Equipment previously donated by US Military – including “Bambi buckets” for helicopters, firefighting suits, axes, shovels, personal protective equipment, etc – is being used now to protect Albanian lives, homes & businesses. #StrongerTogether #KrahPerKrah”, wrote the Ambassador Kim on Twitter.
